White cider has become one of the most misunderstood styles of cider.
Today it is often associated with cheap concentrate, artificial sweeteners and bargain bottles. But that wasn't how the style began.
White cider was originally developed in Devon as a clean, crisp premium cider made from low-tannin apples and fermented to a higher strength. It was sold in small bottles, served cold and enjoyed for its fresh apple character.
Lightning Jack is our return to those roots.
Made from Bramley apples grown at Solland Farm, it is fermented to dryness to produce a strong, refreshing cider with bright acidity and a clean finish.
No concentrate. No artificial sweeteners. No shortcuts.
Just fresh-pressed juice from our own apples, fermented and bottled on the farm.
